Combining wood and aluminum in the Contemporary LA window offers many advantages, but also brings technical challenges linked to the materials’ different properties, particularly thermal expansion. To solve these issues, DMR has developed a floating clip-mounting system that lets the two materials “move” independently, avoiding stress and conflict between wood and aluminum. This system handles temperature variations with complete flexibility, ensuring a stable, long-lasting assembly.
In addition, the aluminum shell is designed to sit away from the wooden profile, creating a rear-ventilated cavity that promotes air circulation. This space keeps the exterior aluminum profile always dry, preventing moisture and reducing the risk of corrosion.

GLASS OPTIONS
Contemporary LA features wooden profiles available in two versions: 68 mm and an enlarged 78 mm. This flexibility ensures superior thermal and acoustic insulation performance. The glazing system can reach a thickness of up to 61 mm, accommodating high-performance glass such as acoustic, safety or integrated-blind glazing, for custom solutions that meet each project’s specific needs. The style offers a wide range of exterior variants, making it compatible with any type of façade without compromising interior style choices. Urban LA
The Urban cladding is a stepped system that echoes the classic geometry of wooden windows, with the innovation of a rebate inclined at 15°. This angle optimizes water drainage, improving weather protection and the window’s durability, while adding a sophisticated touch to the design.
Round LA
The Round cladding is a stepped system with soft, rounded lines, ideal for spaces with organic shapes and curves. It requires a larger visible section, from 68 mm to 74 mm, which enhances the aesthetics and strength of the window, giving it a more solid, longer-lasting structure.
